Built in 1976, Mott-Smith Laniloa is a poured concrete residential tower with generous lanais that is nestled in at the base of Makiki Heights. Most units enjoy an view of Honolulu city and the ocean beyond. Located in a quiet neighborhood with mostly single family homes, Mott-Smith is a local favorite. Good location for a walking, biking or hiking in the nearby Tantalus trails. Common Areas for Residents There is a large, amenities rich, lobby level recreation deck. Small children can splash and play in the good sized kiddie pool with a fountain on one side of the recreation deck while the adults can enjoy the pool and hot tub on the other. Residents can host gatherings in the vaulted ceiling Pavilion party room/meeting room, complete with a full kitchen and bathrooms. There are also many gas BBQ grilling areas and a full sized tennis court. Mott-Smith is secured with a fob, 24 hour security, building manager and video surveillance. The guest parking is generous for an older building in the area with 27 guest stalls near the lobby entrance and above the secured parking.
